Stephens has put together another weekend of fun for November
2008 at Holme Lacy which is a Grade 1 listed Country
Mansion surrounded by 20 acres of parkland and gardens.

Hello everyone,
Following the success of the 2007 Bazzamatazz at Holme
Lacy, we are putting together another weekend of fun for
November 2008.
As we all agreed that this was the best venue we have
ever had, it seems natural to go back again. Once again,
Holme Lacy will be ours for the whole weekend.
Holme Lacy is a Grade 1 listed Country Mansion
surrounded by 20 acres of parkland and gardens. It has
a wonderful leisure pool, sauna, steam room and gym, all
available as part of the package. Or you can treat
yourself to some pampering in the beauty salon. You
will need to book an appointment for these treatments.
Friday is the first day, when you will be greeted by the
staff of Holme Lacy, check into your room and get ready
for the fun to begin. Friday night kicks off with a HUGE
firework display over the lake. Dinner will follow and
it’s of to the Pavilion for the opening disco. That’s
just the beginning of a fun packed weekend. After
breakfast on Saturday, we will have the usual, Barry
Competitions, Barry Videos, and lots of other events
during the day, one of which will be a Christmas shop
where you can get your Christmas cards, wrapping papers
etc. etc., with donations from each item going to
charity. Saturday evening will be your sit-down
Christmas Dinner, followed by the Christmas disco in the
Pavilion, where you can party into the small hours.
During the day on Sunday, The Blue Room will again host
the Charity fund raiser tables. Please let me know if
you would like to book a table. Sunday night is our
New Years Eve, and this year we will be starting the
evening with a Champagne Reception followed by a five
course Banquet. So it’s on with the bling, and make
sure you’re in good voice for Auld Lang Syne at the
stroke of midnight. We will, as always, party on after
that time!
All the usual hotel facilities are available to pamper
you during your stay. Don’t forget you need to make
appointments.
The package includes buffet or full English breakfast
and 3 course evening meal of your choice each day
(Except Sunday when you will have the 5 course
Banquet). There are choices of starters, main course,
and dessert. Different selection each night means you
will always find something to tempt you. When you check
in on Friday your welcome package will include a
programme of events and all the menus for the following
3 days. Although the cost has increased slightly this
year, if the event is as successful as last time, and
the numbers exceed last year by 40 or more, everyone
will receive a £25 reduction on their final payment.
Rail links are easy with direct trains from Birmingham,
Manchester, Swansea, Bristol and of course London
(Paddington) and a short taxi ride from Hereford
station. Holme Lacy has a special arrangement with a
local taxi firm who offer the fare for £10.00. I’ve
also had an idea for travel from areas. This is
something we used to do a lot in the past, and that
would be for someone from an area to arrange for mini
bus or small coach travel with pick up points on the
way. For example someone from Leeds could arrange a bus
and pick up in other towns on route ie: Bolton,
Manchester. Kent could then pick up in Surrey, Berks,
Gloucestershire. All you need do is follow the main
route and pick up at main towns. It would probably work
out cheaper and be a whole lot of fun for the journey.
What I need now is people to volunteer to organise these
from their areas. We can put the details on the web
page and you can all contact each other direct.
The package cost is based on twin/double sharing, and
there are a limited amount of single rooms. Once the
single rooms have been allocated there will be a single
room supplement of £90 for the 3 nights. As in the
past, I’m happy to offer a room mate service.

We would like the deposit before the end of May and
final payment end of August 2008.
