MANILOW.
Pop icon
Hawkes is
best known
for his
Number One
Smash Hit
‘The One and
Only’, which
spent no
less than
five weeks
at the top
of the UK
Single
Charts and
went on to
become an
international
phenomenon.
The track
then
featured on
the
soundtrack
of the film
‘Buddy’s
Song’, which
starred
Roger Daltry
and Chesney
himself. Out
of over
50,000
singles that
were
released in
the UK
during the
nineties,
‘The One and
Only’ became
one of the
most
successful
tracks of
the decade,
cementing
its place in
UK chart
history as a
truly iconic
British pop
hit.
Chesney
recently
completed
his new
album
‘Another
Fine Mess’,
and other
songs he has
written have
been
recorded and
charted by
performers
as diverse
as boy band
A1, Caprice
and various
other
international
artists.
Alongside
his music
career,
Chesney has
made
numerous
television
appearances
on shows
such as
Channel 4’s
‘Top Ten
Teen Idols’,

Maria?’.

Saturday
night, this

first series
of its kind,
in which
Andrew Lloyd
Webber
searched for
a West End
star to play
Maria in
‘The Sound
of Music’.
After
finishing
the program
Siobhan won
a record
deal with
Lloyd
Webber's
company The
Really
Useful Group
and went on
to make her
West End
debut in
Grease at
the
Piccadilly
Theatre. She
then
co-wrote and
recorded an
album with
Polydor for
Universal
and has
since been
working on
her new
album.
Siobhan has
just
returned
from
Nashville,
USA where
she has been
collaborating
with
American
songwriters.
